Most Ontario kitchens cost between $1,950 and $3,500 to paint professionally. A small condo kitchen of up to 20 doors typically runs $1,950 to $3,000, a standard family kitchen of 21 to 40 doors runs $2,900 to $3,500, and large custom homes with millwork start around $6,500. Price depends on door count, cabinet condition, whether oak grain filling is needed, and hardware upgrades. AOnePainter gives a fixed written price after a free in-home measure.
A typical kitchen takes 3 to 5 days. Day one is masking, removal and prep, days two and three are priming and spraying, and the final day is re-hanging doors, installing hardware and cleanup. You can use your sink, fridge and stove for almost the whole project – only the cabinet interiors are out of action.
Yes – painting usually costs about one fifth of replacement. Replacing a 30-door Ontario kitchen runs $18,000 to $40,000 and takes 6 to 10 weeks, refacing runs $9,000 to $16,000, while spray painting the same kitchen runs $3,200 to $6,500 and takes 3 to 5 days. If your cabinet boxes are structurally sound, painting delivers the same visual change for a fraction of the cost.
Not when they are prepped and sprayed properly. Peeling almost always comes from skipped degreasing or the wrong primer. We degrease with a commercial cleaner, scuff-sand every surface, use a bonding primer matched to your substrate, and finish with a catalysed or waterborne lacquer that cures hard. Every job is backed by a 5-year written warranty against chipping, peeling and yellowing.
We spray. Doors and drawer fronts are removed, labelled and sprayed flat in our shop so they cure without dust or sag, and the boxes are sprayed on site with full masking and dust control. Spraying is what produces the factory-smooth finish – brushing and rolling always leave texture.
Yes. Heavy oak grain is filled with a grain filler, sanded flat, then primed and sprayed. The result reads as smooth modern cabinetry rather than painted oak. Grain filling adds roughly a day and a modest cost to the project, and we always show you a sample door first.
No. You only need to empty the cabinet interiors and clear the countertops. Floors, counters, appliances and doorways are fully masked, and you keep the use of your sink, fridge and stove throughout. Most families stay in the home for the entire project.
